Industrial boiler needing a condenser upgrade
We started this project in June 2018 with a lead time of 25 weeks. The object of this was to supply a new condenser large enough to add on a steam generator to the site.
The first phase was to install the condenser, as the old condenser was leaking badly. So, in January 2019 we installed new fans and a new condenser. We also modified the pipework to accommodate the new unit. With minimal disruption, we were able to bring the plant back online within 5 days. We installed temporary craneage on the site to lift the unit into place and remove the old unit. Additionally, our team of dedicated workers used scaffolding for safe work when the new unit was in place.
Next phase: new steam generator
The second phase will commence in March 2019. We’ll be fitting auxiliary pipework, pumps, steam traps, pressure reducers and all other equipment. We’ll then be able to make the connection to the new steam generator, which will be in 2019.
